Layers

The pile that makes the watch. Top of the list is drawn over everything below it. Drag a row to move it — one hour disc, one minute disc, and up to two static layers, in any order. The pill on each row switches it between an opaque print and a tinted acrylic disc that the light passes through.

How to prepare the artwork

Square, 1200 × 1200 px for PNG, or a square viewBox such as 0 0 1200 1200 for SVG (no width/height needed, it scales).
Every layer covers the whole face. The circle inscribed in your square — centre 600,600, radius 600, touching all four edges — maps exactly to the dial, edge to edge. Only the four corners outside that circle are cut off.
Centre of the image is the pivot. A turning layer spins about 600,600, so centre the artwork there.
Top of the image is 12 o'clock when a disc is at zero, i.e. on the hour for the minute disc, at midnight and noon for the hour disc.
Transparent background on anything but the bottom layer. Export PNG-24 with alpha — whatever you leave empty shows the layers below through it.
Acrylic artwork wants colour. On acrylic a layer's channels multiply with everything beneath, so pure white is clear glass and disappears, black stays black, and a tint darkens what shows through it — the same way real stacked acrylic behaves. Paint the tint you want to see, and use opaque for white artwork.
About 3 MB of artwork all told. Uploads are kept in this browser, and that store holds roughly 3 MB once the images are encoded — a budget shared by every layer, not per file. The meter under the list shows what is left. Flatten layers; no external fonts or linked images in the SVG — convert text to paths.
